My passion for helping others began at a young age when I worked at a shelter. That experience had a lasting impact on me and showed me how meaningful it is to support people during vulnerable times in their lives.

I found great joy in serving others, listening to their stories, and being part of a community that truly cares.

Originally, I dreamed of opening a soup kitchen, driven by my love for helping people and giving back. Over time, that passion grew into a deeper mission—to provide safe, supportive, and affordable housing for individuals who need stability and support to live independently.

Sunflower Independent Living was created with compassion, dignity, and respect at its core. Our goal is to help individuals feel safe, supported, and empowered as they work toward independence, growth, and a better life.
